About WLA

The Women’s Leadership Academy (WLA) began in 2016 with the goal of empowering young ladies to transition from high school to college by providing foundational tools to build upon as they entered a new chapter of their lives where they would undoubtedly encounter new challenges and obstacles they had not been exposed to before.    With the ongoing challenges that women face daily, which have only been exacerbated by the COVID pandemic and other events of the past two years, we are excited to expand the program to women of all ages and backgrounds this year.  We all face challenges—large and small, fair and unfair, expected and unexpected-- regardless of our age or level of success.  Sometimes these challenges can make you question whether you are enough. . . whether you are on the right path . . . whether you can achieve your goals and be successful.

Successful women from various backgrounds and areas of the country will share valuable tools and expertise to support other young ladies and women as they face these challenges and realize their God-given talents in order to achieve their highest goals.   By sharing knowledge, expertise, personal experiences, and guidance that promote self-esteem and confidence, the program is designed to support, encourage, and empower women of all ages and backgrounds.  This year’s program has a specific focus on mental well-being which has been a challenge for all of us, particularly over the past two years.

Join us and be a part of the WLA network.  We will all continue to face challenges, discouragements, and times of uncertainty along our path.  Expect it . . . but do not be defeated by it.  Know that you are not alone! Know that you will come through!  Know that you will be successful! Know that You are Enough!!
